Newtons Second Law


Some people deserve a hi-five... in the face... with a chair. No, but really here I am performing a prime example of Newtons Law. I am trying to push my chair into my desk but it is not moving. Reasons for why my chair is not moving is because my arms are at a high angle, which would make it harder to push forwards. Also, the mass of the chair contributes to why I cannot push in my chair. The friction from my carpet in my room is also another factor that makes it difficult for me to push in my chair. If I were to have a wooden floor in my room I would be able to push in my chair a lot easier because there is less friction on wooden floors. If I push my chair with enough force, my chair will push back in.

This is the lei that I got from senior lu'au last night. My lei is purple, which is the best color to use for a lei. I used my lei to demonstrate forces acting upon my lei. The door knob is exerting an equal amount of force as my pull on the lei in opposite directions, which is why the lei is evenly flat and not sagging downward. Also, another force acting upon the lei are the milligrams which cause a downward force. If I was to move the lei around with my hand around the door knob, the lei would produce force friction towards the knob. If I took the lei off the knob and put it on my desk, then inertia, mg downward force, and normal force would be acting upon my lei.

Fig Newtons


Here I am in Midkiff with my bag for school. This is my most favorite bag that i have ever had. I got this backpack from the vans store in Florida. My bag is not in motion. The reason why my back pack is not in motion is because of inertia. My bag wants to stay where it is and does not want to move. Another reason why it is not moving is because it is at the center of mass. The table is flat, and the surface area is also bigger than the surface area of my back pack, causing to stay where it currently is.

G-G-G-G-GOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!


This is me playing soccer. Soccer is my passion, and is my most favorite sport of all time. Here I two defenders are approaching me as I am kicking the ball and crossing it across the field to one of my teammates making a run. By the way I got an assist on this play.. just saying. Anyways, the unit that we are currently learning about are about vectors, which deals with direction and magnitude. Here after i kick the ball, the ball will travel with a direct speed and magnitude to one of my teammates across the field. If I had the dimensions, I would be able to figure out the vector of the ball by using the correct vector equation.
