Here, I have taken a normal bottle of Dasani water and threw it up into the air. What has been exemplified here is kinematics. Using the systems of equations that kinematics has to offer, I can figure out the velocity at which the bottle is traveling. I can determine how long it will take the bottle to reach the ground using an equation. Acceleration and distance from which the bottle was thrown can also be determined using one of the many equations in kinematics. Everything that is thrown into the air has the same motion; fast, slow, stop, slow, fast. So as my bottle is thrown into the air, it goes fast, slows down, then stops at the highest peak, then slowly comes back down, and then goes faster and faster.
