This is a double A Battery that I took out of my T.V. remote. Mr. Blake has already shown us this example during class, but I am using this example again because it is the best way to describe the difference between electric potential energy and electric potential. These two concepts seem like they are the same thing, but they are totally different. Electric Potential Energy deals with the amount of stored energy an electric field can hold and how much work is being done. Electric potential is how much electric charge is in something. The equation for electric potential is electric potential energy/charge. The units for this is a volt. A volt is equal to joules/coulomb.
