im SHOCKED
Here I took a picture of a tag from a blow dryer. The tag says that the blow dryer should not be near water because there is a risk of death by electric shock. The reason why this is dangerous is because when this combines with water, the energy released by the electric shock if extremely powerful due to the amount of charge that is created when it combines with the water. The voltage is not necessarily the dangerous part of the shock, but the amount of charge that is produced when the blow dryer is in contact with water. If the voltage was high and the charge was not, then the shock would not be very dangerous.
